
If you are already an RBT that is a plus! You must keep all your certifications current. We also provide BLS (Basic Life Support) training, Safety Care training, and other trainings throughout your employment. To become certified as an RBT you will then need to pass a proctored exam. You will need to complete online training (about 40 hours) and do in-clinic shadowing with one of our skilled RBT’s (9-12 hours.) Once you are done with the initial training you will complete a verbal competency assessment with one of the BCBA’s and then can begin working 1:1 as a behavior technician. We provide paid training and pay for the courses for you to complete your RBT certification. Keeping up appearance within iBehave standards: appropriate attire, clean, and well-groomed. Maintaining acceptable attendance status, per iBehave policy. Immediately report any patient incidents, variances, or complaints to the BCBA. Observing confidentiality and safeguarding all patient-related information. Keeping a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Consistently interpreting and accurately performing all assigned responsibilities. Understanding and adhering to established policies and procedures. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will follow the Behavior Support Plan provided, collect data, and keep daily session notes as well. Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based programs as directed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). RBTs work with clients in-home, in-school, in-clinic, and in the community. Communicate and work with supportive administrative staff and great co/workers. You will practice under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA. In other words, ABA Therapy focuses on identifying issues with an individual’s behaviors and/or learning skills and we work with them to better their behaviors and skills.Īs a Behavior Technician, you will provide one-on-one support and behavioral intervention services to individuals with Autism and support to their families. What is ABA therapy? Applied Behavior Analysis is a type of therapy that focuses on improving specific behaviors, such as social skills, communication, reading, and academics as well as adaptive learning skills, such as fine motor dexterity, hygiene, grooming, domestic capabilities, punctuality, and job competence. We specialize in providing ABA therapy for individuals who have been diagnosed with Autism.
